Hole in floor

I have a 80 hydrostream vector its a 17ft fiberglass boat today i was removing the carpet to replace it and under where the seat sat there was a piece about 1 square foot rotten the wood under it seem wet i was planning on putting silocon seal around the hole and laying a new piece of wood down over the hole floor should i put anything in the hole it seem wet down there ( expansion foam or anything)

he first thing I would do, would be to get everything dry! You don't want to rot out those stringers, then you would be tearing apart the entire floor and have some major work ahead!!

You need to cut out any wet rotten wood and replace it with new.
