I'll make this one quick. Where on the prop for an old 48hp (around 1962)would I find the prop pitch? See I told ya it would be quick. TIA

Howdy Wingnutt.

Not silly at all, but probably belongs in the General Outboard Forum. I will move it there.

You might find the prop specs stamped around the hub, something like 12X17. The 17 would be the pitch.

Failing that, you can measure along the prop hub from where the leading edge of one blade is to where the trailing edge is. Then multiply that measurement by the number of blades (usually 3).

So, if it is 6" from leading edge to trailing edge of one blade, the pitch would be 18".

Hope that helps. Good luck. :)
