Hi Lost<br />Your Sears Elgin motor was made by the West Bend co. The 571 in the mod# denotes that. I can't seem to find your exact mod#. The closest I can get is 571-5974, this would be a 1959 7.5 hp. West Bend sold to Chrysler around 1964.

My Old Outboard Motor Manual says it's a 1959 8hp made by West Bend. The manual I have is from TheMotorBookstore.com and I got an impeller for my 58 Elgin from www.laingsoutboards.com hth good luck
