engine specs 25HP Gale outboard

I have a 25HP Gale out board and I am looking for specs on the carb settings and the point gap for this motor any help would be greatly welcome<br />also Ièm not sure of the year but I think it may be a 1960 the model # is 22d17b can anyone help me out Thanks

Howdy, Mistygale.<br /><br />When you have the year, which I can't help you with, any manual that covers the same year Johnson or Evinrude 25 will cover 99% of your Gale, including tune up instructions..<br /><br />Your points should be set at .020 and the plugs at .030.<br /><br />Your year is important. If it is pre-1965 you want to use a 24:1 fuel mix. 1965 and later engines use a 50:1 mix.<br /><br />Good luck. :)
