I run ring free in my gas all the time. Do you think it is still necessary to decarbonize the engine? Can decarbonizing damage any of the sensors in the engine? Thanks.

Not likely to need it. Also not likely to damage sensors if you do.

Re: Decarbonizing if running ring free

I ran ring free from day one, after 300 hours decided to do the seafoam decarb. During the decarb process had 15 seconds of barely noticible smoke.
That indicated to me that I did not have a carbon issue.
I will continue to run ring free and not bother with the decarb again until 1000 hours. Not that I'll need it but just for piece of mind.
