I changed the water pump and ran the motor for 2 days for about 5 hours each day. On the second day the alarm went off three times in a matter of 15 minutes when I was slow-trolling with the trolling plate down. This was the reason for changing the pump in the first place. It does not sound when it is idling out of gear, only slow trolling. I have not changed the thermostate.
