It might, I don't know. But you might fine that the 200hp will be overproped, i.e., the engine might not be able to acheive the proper RPM's at WOT and this is bad for the outboard. <br /><br />Just make sure the prop's are of similar dimensions.

Yep, we do it all the time. You may have to fool with the spacers but it'll work. As long as the Merc had the standard shaft, not the "fat shaft".<br /><br />This means it will fit but doesnt mean its the right pitch..........

You'll need a Yamaha hardware kit for the Merc prop if it has the plastic removable insert. The stock Yamaha fasteners won't work with a Merc prop without modification. I have access to a lathe and have modified a few to get by.
