think the last letter 'T' refers to the year, 1995. I believe.

if it's a US motor that's correct...if that's a non-US motor...try www.marinshopen.se then go to modelguide(at top right)then click on Yamaha and scroll down to the listing for 6K1 and it says 1985 :cool:
