Re: Replacing Steering Cable
I just replaced mine. It is a Morse Teleflex rack and pinion and was in very bad shape. One problem was too many tight bends.

So when I replaced it I eliminated most of the bends. Now the cable is out on the deck of my bass boat. Well so are my trolling motor cables and my engine control cables.....big deal.

It was really a straight forward process. One bolt/nut to the engine; one nut to the engine mounting bracket, 4 bolt/nuts to remove the cable from the rack steering unit. Cable came prelubed so it was just an assembly provess. Took about 1 hr.
Mark
