I am about to install smart tabs on my boat and I'm not sure how to seal the holes for the mounting screws. I don't entirely trust the tape so I plan to use the tape plus a sealer. I don't plan to keep the boat for over a 5 year period and I may plan on removing the tabs if I do sell the boat. In my case what would be the best sealer to use. I'm guessing not 5200 because you can't remove that. Even though 4200 is half the strength would it still be strong enough. or should I drill oversize holes and then fill them with epoxy then drill the correct holes and use 5200.

Re: Sealing Smart Tabs

I third the motion. If you used 5200 you might not be able to ever remove the screws. As for sealing capability, 4200 is just a less permanent version of 5200.
