I'm getting my first speedboat for the Potomac River what kind do you think I should get. :confused:

Gusbuster, welcome to the forum. What do you plan to use the boat for? Fishing, skiing, just riding around or what? There are many different types of boats and how you use it plays a big part in what kind you get. How many people will be in the boat? Do you plan to take it out into Chesapeake bay, also? The more information you give, the better answers you will get. Again, welcome.

The term "speedboat" means different things to different folks. It might be useful to hear which boat models have caught your eye. Also, I have noticed that different boaters have wildly different ideas on how many people they may take along for the ride. More people equals bigger, more expensive boat. Another key consideration is whether the boat will be trailered or kept at a marina.<br /><br />Kelly Cook
