Loaded question! How much ARE you using? The second question is are we talking about a two-stroke or four-stroke engine? If its a two stroke, figure how much oil was used over how many gallons of fuel burned. If it turns out to be something significantly more or less than 50:1 (pint in six gallons) you are burning too much or too little. If its a four stroke, you should not have to add oil (or very little) between changes.
