Re: 1986 yamaha 150

recently purchased a yamaha 150 proV 1986 timing seems to be off. I havn't put it in the water yet is adjusting the timing simple or should I get a manual?

Basicly it's misfiring at above idle. At idle it seems to pur once I rais up the lever it misfires. I did change the spark plugs not a change in performance though.

You need to start your own thread.

You may be describing a lean sneeze, hook up a timing light to see what timing is. You may need a manual to see what timing is suppose to be and if it is mechanical or electronic controlled.
may need carb cleaning
