Hi,<br />1989 yamaha 40. I just cleaned carbs, plugs are good. I ran it in the driveway and it seems rough when I bring up the throttle. I don't remember it sounding this way last year. It almost sounds too advanced, but the linkage to the cdi unit is right where it should point on full throttle. Anyway, I am going to put in in today and give it a try, if it doesn't work, my best guess it is some type of ignition problem.
