Can the oil seals be replaced without removing the bearing carrier? Are both seals located on the outside of the bearing carrier or does one go inside? I tried to install a seal and I couldn't get it beyond the lip in the housing. Is it supposed to stop at that lip or be pressed in further? I ruined three seals trying to press it in for the additional eighth of an inch beyond the lip. What are the tricks of the trade for installing these seals?
