semi frozen steering

i have two yamahas 250 1995 replaced the seastar cylenders on both steering still hard no problem with the helm pump, and i disconnected the tie bar between engines and cant move them manually should i try to use heat and try to melt down old lube adding new lube ? i have done this in the past and it has worked . rather than taking the engines apart. they do move when i turn wheel they are not completeley frozen its just hard. Thanx in advance

you can also try loading your grease gun with go-jo instead of grease and apply it 3 times a day for a week or so.<br />usually its caused by the corrorsion between the casting and the bushing clamping it to the steering tube.
