Oil Pump adjustment

1989 90 hp yamaha.. Ive installed a new oil pump on this motor.Ive just started this motor for a couple minutes to see if it will fire beacuse it also has a new powerhead on it.I need to bleed the oil lines since they have been off and its got a new pump. Question? How long does it take to bleed the lines, while it was running for a couple minutes it didnt seem like oil got to the lines. The manual i have says take the blled screw out and let the engine idle for around 10 minutes til its got pure oil coming out of the bleed screw hole.Does it take this long for air to get out of the lines?.1 more question,is the richest setting on this pump is when the oil pump lever housing is against the stop? Thanks

Re: Oil Pump adjustment

I got it figured out, pretty simple actually. I just didnt keep the bleed screw out long enough to start with.
