95 Yam 60.
When I take throttle to about 90% all seems fine, but when I open it to Fully open, it seems to get a few more revs but then surges (like it's misfiring).
When I drop the throttle back a small bit it stops happening.

I've just stripped and cleaned the carbs. Just added a new fuel pump and added a new fuel filter (External water seperator) and it was fresh fuel.

Re: Yamama Surging

I bet you have a kink in your fuel line somewhere. I have a 150 that did the same thing. It would only surge when I was running 5600 plus rpms. We finally had to put in a clear fuel line from the tank to the motor and found the bubbles. Turns out the blockage was in the rubber boot where the fuel line runs into the cowling.

The arm out of the CDI.. It has a small arm with the linkage to the throttle. I think this is to advance (or retard) the ignition?

What should I check for?
