Yamaha-250HPDI-trouble

Bought a new 2003 250HPDI in July 2004.Had recall in October 2004 to correct plug fowling. Ran motor<br />through December 2004 with no problems.Motor<br />seized up two weeks ago(1st trip) after running 10 minutes.Still waiting for Yamaha to confirm warranty.Motor had less than 60 hours. Dealer required to send computer printout and now fuel sample. Any advice from other members would be appreciated.

seems to happen with amazing regularity.<br /> not much we can do other than install another powerhead and reccomend you buy the 3 year extended warrenty

This is my second Yahama. The first one lasted<br />nine years with no trouble.I wonder if this is just the HPDI series troubles.

Love the old premix 2 stroke without the modcons. No modcons no headaches.
