I have a starting problem where the engine will start, but only run on maximum fast idle, any adjustment lower causes a stall ? - Also at the same time it seems to kill the battery after 2 or 3 attempts at starting and I have to recharge again before trying. I've replaced the solenoid, plugs, starter, plugs. Cleaned out carb and fuel system all the way through. I had it running fine a few days ago, and can't understanding what could have happened now.

Any advice would be greatly received.

Exactly how did you clean out the fuel system all the way through? You may be running on 1 cylinder for some reason. Check to see if 1 cylinder isn't pulling its weight, could be fuel or spark issue. Have you synchronized the spark and carb linkages? You need to narrow this down. Also it sounds like you have marginal battery capacity and a low battery could affect your spark.
