2001 4 stroke yamaha

Can any one tell me the Alertnator amp output on a 2001 40hp Yamaha 4 stroke.The reason I ask is when I go walleye fishing in Canada the outfitter has these engine. And I would like to take my phase charger and hook it up so it will keep the trolling battery charge while I am running. In walleye fishing you do a lot of trolling so the Staring battery stays pretty much Charge and then with the Phase charger it kicks in and Puts charge into my trolling battery But I am not sure if the 40 Hp puts out enough Amps? does anyone know.
