I have a 225 Johnson the problem is the motor on the power trim unit quits working unless you tap on
the motor while holding in the trim switch. Then quits when you let go of the switch until you tap on it again .
To make a long story short i have taken it to a local dealer and was told that i would need to replace the
hole unit motor and all. My question is what does the pump or cylinders have to do with the motor not
working? Should they be a second opinion? The difference is cost for a motor $275 plus labor or the hole
unit plus labor $900. Thanks for your thoughts

Nite Owl
