How can I tell if I need more T&T fluid? Should you replace this like foot gear oil? 60hp 2 stroke. Thanks.

Re: Power T&T

i havent seen it ever go bad? if there was a service interval it would probably be 500 hours+<br />to tell if you need more trim your leg fully up and flip down the tilt locks. facing the tnt unit you will see a bolt head half way up the resevoir. undo it, if fluid dribbles out then no. if it dribbles out and its not red but milky/creamy then you have a leak somewhere. n oil can and fill to this level. replace the plug and you are good to go.

Re: Power T&T

For most trim units you trim the unit fully up and remove the fill plug. The fluid level should be right there. I like to squirt a little extra and cap it off quickly. Too much and you can blow an o-ring. They run only seconds at a time. In an entire season all those seconds probably won't add up to much ... an hour maybe? The fluid only needs to be changed if it becomes contaminated.
