Perhaps decarbing may help to alleviate the problem.

Sounds more like the carbs need a rebuild. Your idle circuits may be too lean either because they are out of adjustment or dirty. Does manually choking the engine halfway help? If so you may try enrichening the idle air mixture by screwing it in 1/4 turn on each carb. If that doesn't help get a manual and rebuild the carbs. Get a manual anyway.

Your carbs are indeed set to lean off idle. Take jimd's advice and richen them up (all six..3 are thru the oil tank holes) only on the V-6 you turn the screw 'out' to get a richer mix. As he said i/4 turn ought to do it. I've found that almost all V-6 Suzuki's like 2 turns out from being lightly seated.

Sorry, I just assumed that motor was like the smaller ones in regards to which direction to turn the idle screws for enrichment. That's why a manual is so important. In the future I shall just say enrich your idle circuit by the "appropriate method" :D
