I have a 2 stroke 25 hp yamaha oil enjected motor that is about 8 years old, sorry not exact about age, it's on the beach in Mexico.
If I disconnect the top carberator the boat runs fine, but when both carbs are hooked up the boat will only go 5 mph. Do I need rebuild the top carberator? if so is it difficult
It has clean gas and plugs
Thanks
John

Clean plugs, yes, but are they new???
When you say disconnect top carb, are you removing fuel line or throt linkage?

...and welcome aboard! :)

I disconnect the throttle linkage to the top carb to make it work. When both are hooked up I can see gas going in on the top and bottom but it will only run at idle. Also I forgot to mention that with both barbs hooked up I can get som speed with messing with the choke.
Also I think both plugs are new.

Sounds like your top carb is in need of some work, John.

It is not difficult IF you have and use a manual.

Good luck. :)
