tilt and trim removal

I need to take the tilt and trim off my 1992 Yamaha 200. I unbolted everything but can't get the unit past the motor frame. Do I have to take the motor off the boat to get the unit off?

There may be another way, but I can't imagine it. At least one of the clamp brackets will have to come off to let it clear.

in recent times yamaha has made it so that you can remove it as you describe. yours needs a transom bracket removed for removal.

There are no problems just solutions, did removing the transom bracket work?
