Iam doing a rebuild on a 86 50 hp ETLJ yamaha. Now this is my 1 st time doing a midsize motor an i hear that the bottom seals you dont do back to back. you do them the same way with the lips facing down. is this true
the pressures and vacuums created from the piston travel is way less then the seal will hold even on the back side. they are positioned like that to prevent water entry.
