tilt unit making squishing type sounds. There is hydraulic fluid leaking from the seal around the rod that lifts the motor.. I was going to try to repair myself. How big of a project is this? Any manuals around? Do I need to take the unit completely off? How do you tell exactly what is wrong with the rascal?

hello<br /> the 67F unit is simple but will require removal and dissasembly of the ram. its actually a double cylinder. buy the factory service manual and make careful note when dissassembling. the only special tool I can think of is the cap wrench.

check carefully the ram surface. pitted/flaking ram surface is usually the cause of ram seal leaks.
