Re: dragged my motor today
hello
most likely no damage. if any it may have unseated the lower chamber checkvalve. dont try to rebend the skeg. it usually breaks. your not the first boat with a bent skeg or like mine a missing one. cycle the unit several times and then let it sit. it may have air bubbles in it.
its designed to allow the motor to tilt up if you hit something. the funniest I ever saw was some drunks at the oregon inlet fishing center ramp. they loaded the boat, locked the winch jumped in and took off. the motor drug some up the ramp but once off the ramp it was clear the funny part was they never shut the motor off. we hollered and waved and he waved back and last I saw he was headed north on nc 12 and the motor was still puttering.
