A 1994 85 h/p yamaha Rebuilt carbs and replaced all fuel lines to carb. Checked output at fuel pump. It is working good. I have interment-en firing on the top cylinder. Swapped coils around and it stayed with the top cylinder. How do you check the power pack on the side of the engine to tell if it is breaking down there.
I cleaned all connections (grounds)
Compression is 120 top to bottom

Re: Intermittent spark on top Cyl. Yamaha

hello
you have to use a cd-77 or equvalent meter.low speed charge coil shoul be 85v with everything hooked up at cranking speed. pulsar coils should read 2.5 v with everything hooked up.CDI output should be 85-95 v loaded.
good luck and keep posting
