I got the nut loose by applying heat from a small propane torch. Now i need to know how to get the shaft at the motor end of the cable to slide out of where it goes through the parts on the motor. Original problem was steering was locked up. Apparently it's frozen inside and I don't know how to get it out.
No need to report your post, hiker. A Report is asking for moderator intervention.I have freed some stuck steering shafts by placing a 2X4 on the end and tapping gently and repeatedly on it with a hammer.
