1995 Yamaha 85HP outboard engine dies when put in gear . Idles fine. What could be the problem?

This question have been asked so many times, and have many answers, but the first thing to check is the air mixture screws on the carbs, just adjust them slightly until the idle is nice and smooth and maybe a little faster, if that doesn't work, then we take it from there. good luck
