Lower unit gear oil 2000 225 Yamaha

Hey guys,

I did a search on lower unit gear oil and the consensus was that Mercury HP ger oil is a good oil to use, my question is, how many tubes of oil do I need?

between 33 and 40 OZ depending on your model number.

I spent a few hours today looking at lots of your past post and replies, thanks for the info you have provided. I've owned OMC's all my life and now I have a low hour 2000 Yamaha SS 225 that I now need to learn about.
