RPM Incresing on 90 hp Yamaha

I have a 1998 2 stoke 90hp oilinjected Yamaha.The max at wot use to be 5500. Now its running about 5800.Could it be that my sst prop is wearing out. I would appreciate any feed back.

Check your hub in the prop. If it smells like burnt rubber. You have spun the rubber hub.

Check the prop for bends crease and nicks that may be causing greater slippage than normal.
