my model year 2000 uses more gas than I expected. It power a 1900 pro V and gets about 2 miles per gallon at 3600 to 4600rpms. RPMs don't seem to make much difference. Prop is a 14x19 stainless with some dings in it. Still seaching for right rpm and fuel efficiency. any ideas?

You can go to both the Suzuki web site and the yamaha web site and they have boat test with different combinations of hull size/shape to HP - find one thats close to your rig and see what they say for prop size and fuel usage. At wide open throttle you should be turning about 5500 rpm (check your owners manual) at normal boat load if the prop is the right size. I run a Suzuki 150EFI turning a 14x20 prop on a 20 CC (about 3000+ lbs running) and get about 3+ mpg at 3000 to 4000 rpm (27 to 35 mph).

Thanks for the info, checked the site. The site blurs after I load it. I have had that trouble with Suzuki's web page before, anyone else have that problem with their web page? I was able to get the needed info but it sure is difficult.
