Hard Starting

I have a 2003 Yamaha 90 Horse 4 stroke outboard. If I let the motor sit for a week or more, it is very hard starting. I have a friend that has a Yamaha 225 horse 4 stroke and he can let his motor sit for 2 months and as soon as he turns the key, it's running. Why doesn't my motor start like his after sitting.
