Yamaha Water in Lower Cylinder

1994 25hp Yamaha getting water in the lower unit.<br />Model #c25mshr<br />Code #6955 <br />S/N #038854 <br /><br />Any thoughts on were this could be coming from, or what i could check? Trying to find a manual now on this engine before i start taking the block apart.<br /><br />Thanks

May want to pull the prop and see if you've got some fishing line down in the prop shaft seals - friction will cause the mono to melt and build up on the shaft and ruin seals ... Just one thought

You need to clarify your post. Your subject says lower cylinder which is the engine. Your post says lower unit which is your gearcase. :( Whichizit?

Sorry, it was the lower cylinder. Found the problem, it was a small hole in the baffle plate.
