Sometimes, mostly during cooler weather, the trim/tilt will fade down slowly. Occasionally in warm weather too. It will work great but sometimes I get under way and it starts dropping. I keep trimming it up on the run and finally it will hold. Same thing happens when I trailer sometimes. It's tilted all the way up and and won't stay there. Our local dealer isn't too sharp so no answers there. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: '93 Yamaha Pro60 trim/tilt leakdown

hello
could be a number of things. a main valve leak, a piston oring not sealing or a leaking or loose manual relese valve.
the main valves are testable when removed. the orings are replacable and so is the release valve.
good luck and keep posting

Could it also be low hydrolic oil? Just a thought. ;)

Thanks for the reply guys. A little cold up here yet so will have to wait a couple weeks to tear into it. Definitely not low fluid though, that was the first thing I checked.
