i have a 115 yahama and the only contols i have are for for a 65hp johnson electric shift.model #115ETLKi believe its a 85 , what type of control box do i need to make this work ? is it electric shift also or do i need another cable ? thanks

yes i know , do you have anything more specific ..then just yamaha control box

aqua without anymore info its hard, all control boxes from yamaha can be had with or without the power trim switch. the side mount box with ign harness is a 703 from yamaha and the binnicle is a 704, the 704 does not have the wiriring harness for the engine.. a model number from your 115 is needed. the ign harness on the v4-v6 motors is a 10 pin harness that has not changed since the early 80's. there are some 7 pin harness's that wont work on your application. are you looking for a flush mount,side mount or binnicle mont control ?

ill givve you some more info ........... its 2 stroke,V4,2 carbs, it has oil injection on it it has power trim with the button on the engine , the main connector has 10 pins 7 around as a horseshoe and 3 more pins at the bottom of the others, the other 2 connectors 1- 4 pins, and 1- four holes seems like the power tilt has 4 individual single wire connections.in my orig post ... model #115ETLK of engine,looking for a side mount box

K will make it a 1985 model. for a side mount box you will need a 703 with a harness and power trim switch, a oil harness from engine to oil tank, a alarm harness with round connectors from engine to tach and a trim harness with round connectors from engine to tach, you will also need the harness from the 4 wire pig tail on the 703 to the tach/gauge panal assy. seeing as you dislike giving any information as to control box type thats about all for now. a yamaha rigging manual would be helpful to ya about now.
