25hp Yamaha tiller can it be modified

I have a 93 or 94 25hp Yamaha outboard. Right now it is tiller controlled and pull start can I modify it to operate from the helm (steering and throttle, electric start) of my inflatable. If so I am interested in finding someone in South Florida to perform the modification. i was told that it was not possible by someone at a dealer. Any info will help.<br />Thanks

Hi,<br /><br /> Nothings impossible!! i'm modifying my old Penta to remotes, its just a case of finding somone who knows what there doing, after all you only need to move a arm back and forth for the throttle, i'm using a long brake cable off a mountain bike attached to a little home made lever, i'm fitting a stronger return spring to the throttle arm to help return the throttle.<br /><br />hope that helps.<br /><br />Graham.
