2000 Yamaha 50 HP loses power after idling or slow speed run. When you advance throttle, the engine coughs and dies.
If you play long enough, slowly advancing the throttle, sometimes it takes off like a rabbit. Very hit or miss. At first I thought engine was cold blooded, but will occur when plenty warm. Have checked spark plugs and none seem to be having a problem (clean burn). Have checked fuel filter, very clean. Always starts and idles smooth. Just sometimes dies when throttle advanced. Motor only has about 25 hours on it. Any ideas?

What happen if you pump with the fuel bulb on the fuel line when this situation occur? Seems like a fuel delivery problem or carburator problem.
