Best OB steering for 90 hp engine
In case I have to replace my steering, the whole Teleflex steering system is about as cheap as just the cable. It will be NFB but I was wondering if anyone has any hands on info on rack and pinion, vs the other round type (I guess you call it). I think I have room under the dash for the stub that contains the leftover rod on the round type.<br /><br />I want the smoothest, easiest steering so I can do some fast turning to get on the trailer in a cross wind. <br /><br />Last boat I had had the round type and it was smooth as silk. On this newly acquied boat; I don't know if I am fighting the type (rack and pinion, perse) or a malfunction. Never had the rack before.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Mark
