Yamaha Trim Indication

My trim indicator on my digital display no longer agrees with the actual motor position. Is there a reset to this or is there a way to recalibrate so the indicator and motor agree. When the motor is full down the display registers 3 1/2 units (out of 5) up.<br />Thanks to all respondants.

I think it is on the front of the motor. Look at the steering tube and you will see a small black plastic ring that covers the steering tube. There should be a phillips screw that holds this in. You can adjust it by loosing the screw and rotating it up or down to make the gauge accurate.
