95 Yamaha 175 - Now that I've replaced the impeller, Thermostats and poppet valve. If I put two to three hundred hours per year on the motor, all saltwater, flush after each use and trailer store.How often should impeller, thermos and poppet be cleaned / replaced?Is there anyway to determine if thermos are stuck open other than inspection?Also the overheat warning seemed to switch back and forth between two pitches, one higher than the other. Does the higher pitch indicate she's really getting hot?

hello every 200 hours or once per year is yamahas reccomendation. the alarm tone change idicates either the horn is failing or you have some corroded connections. good luck and keep posting
