created bigger problem trying to unclog tell tale pisser

while using a metal rod to attempt to unclog the tell tale on my 2001 225 h.p. yamaha i inadvertently broke off the plastic nipple fitting thats comes out of the port side of the block ...it was getting dark so i had to go...how do i get the remainder of that nipple out??

I don't think the nipple goes into the block. It more likely is attached to a hose that is in turn connected to a brass outlet screwed into the head. In any case, though, the tell-tale might work OK without the part you broke off.

hay try to ease it out with a very small chisel. or a regular ease out good luck. use the chesel to turn it on out backwards
