I have a 1986 115 and it leaks oil out around the prop . I think their maybe o rings or gaskets that may be bad . The manual says their are ball bearings and spacers and such down there . How hard is this to fix ? I'm pretty mechanically incined, but don't want to get in over my head . Is this a easy fix or will alot of parts fall out when I pull this apart ?
hello that all depends on how hard the bearing carrier is corroded in place. some come out by hand and others will break 3 pullers and eat a half a bottle of acetylyne. is the motor run in saltwater? good luck and keep posting
