NEED CRANKSHAFT AND ROD YAMAHA 150 THRU 225 90 THRU 95

I have a 200 yamaha that scattered a rod on top cylinder and the crank is pitted. I would like to know if anyone can repair this crank or does anyone have a good used crank from a 1990 thru 1995 150 thru 225 hp engine.Part number is 6r3-11411-00-00 for the crank and 6r5-11650-10-00 for the rod. I also would like to know what caused this motor to scatter. Anyone can help please email pohlerau@techisp.com.

Try NEECA for the crankshaft. Since you've only got one journal on the crankshaft to fix, it is probably the most economical way to go.

Bob Kottman had several of these to sale. He changes out everything to the 1989 back when he builds a race motor. His number is 636-338-4080. Reman ones work very well and are usually cheaper than used ones. The most likely cause was a failure in the oil injection to that cylinder. A clogged valve often goes with this problem. Either of us will have the used rods.
