Yamaha F115 exhaust

I was running for the 1st time with new boat on large swells and kelp. On way back home I stopped to drift. Restarted and noticed smoke pouring from the exhaust (1st time any visible). No alarms. Did not think to look for the peeing water. Towed. Had 20 gallons of fuel dock gas put in that morning. 2 days later started up right away the exhaust billowing.

So today I go down there intent to start the engine with water flowing through it and see what happens. Well, it was not smoking at all and sounded fine. Back to "normal"?

Could it be that the latest round of gas had a premix and this was just a burn up? It came and went without incident.

Given that it is intermittent, perhaps burning up bad fuel?
