I recently changed the impeller on my '89 40hp yamaha. I didn't keep track of the number of turns on my shift linkage when I took it apart. Right now it goes into forward fine and makes a little crunching noise as it goes into reverse. Which way do I need to adjust the turnbuckle on the shift linkage? Is there some systematic way of adjusting this?
