Yamaha Remote Control Box

Hi,

I have a side mount Yamaha Control Box and I noticed the shift lever was loose. It felt like the shifter was about to come out. The lever has side to side play. I poped the cover and I did not see any screw to thighten the lever. Is there special attention I must follow when removing the whole control box to adjust the lever?

P.S Not shift cable related. All the cable adjustments are fine.

Take the nuts loose behind the control box attaching the box to the boat. They are 10mm. Tighten the bolt holding the lever. Easily visible when box is loose.

That easy! Thanks Ray, I did not want to mess anything up because it is a fairly new boat.
